Solovay Gallery of Contemporary Art- Web Banner




I just created this web banner this morning. I did it for The Sampler but I think it will generally come in handy in other places too. I am STILL working on my web site, http://www.amysolovay.com, and this will be a good addition to my link exchange page. Right now my site redirects to my ebay store but I am hoping to change that shortly. If you have a web site that relates to art, fashion, fabric, crafts or interior design in some way please let me know if you want to exchange links. I am working on my links pages right now.

...I really like the use of the warm orange to tie all the disparate colors together. And yet contrast enough to make them each pop. You must've had a good color theory teacher.

Thanks! That's a really nice thing to say.

I'm mostly self-taught when it comes to color theory- heavily influenced by Kaffe Fasset's views on color...but also it didn't hurt that the first 3 months I worked in the textile industry were spent JUST matching colors and working with major retailers' color palettes, using them to recolor fabrics. I think that was even better than having a teacher.
