Project Runway Season 2
I just found out that I went to the same school as a bunch of the designers from season 2 of project runway. (For those of you who don't know, I went to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles, where I studied textile design. Otherwise known as FIDM.) Quoting from the FIDM web site, "Santino Rice, Raymundo Baltazar, Daniel Franco (back again after Season One), and Nick Verreos all graduated from FIDM with degrees in Fashion Design, while Guadalupe Vidal earned her FIDM degree in Product Development."

I know the season finale of project runway was ages ago and this is now old news. I had it recorded on Tivo and I watched it way after everyone else did. Just in case there was anyone else who hasn't seen the last one yet, I will put the rest of this under a cut.
Before I saw the finale, I was convinced that Daniel was going to win.
After I watched all the runway shows at Fashion Week, I thought Santino should win because I liked his collection the best.
I was kind of surprised that Chloe won! But happy for her! She's incredibly talented, and she seems like a really nice person. Also, her life is pretty much the ultimate American Dream story!
Actually I really wanted either Nick or Andre to win. I was so mad when Nick got eliminated; I thought Santino should have been eliminated during that episode. I liked the suit Nick made for Daniel and I hated the jumpsuit that Santino made for Kara. It was ugly and it was falling apart! Ick!
I had to admit, though, when Andre got eliminated I thought it was deserved. But I didn't think Daniel should have won that garden party challenge- there were so many other prettier dresses to choose from. I got the impression that they only picked his because it used flowers.
It makes me want to try making a dress out of flowers!
But, no, I have too much other stuff to do right now.
