Article: The Art of the Still Life
For anyone who might be interested, I wanted to let you know that I wrote an article about how to create a still life. This is a guide for beginning artists; if you went to art school or if you are already experienced at drawing and painting still life art, then this article probably won't tell you anything you don't already know. But if you have never made a still life then please check it out!

A Guide For Artists: The art of the still life. How to create still life art, with an emphasis on how to put together a still life for painting or drawing.

Thanks for taking a look. Enjoy! :)

I want to go to school im just really scared. im a bad student, kinda slow. I dont want to be lookd at as a dumbass. I never made it high the 8th grade ed. so obviously im abit damaged by the social event of learning. So thank you, you seem like ud make a good teacher if ur not one already

Thanks for the comment! Glad you checked it out ~ hope you found it helpful. Yes, I used to teach. That was a great experience.

Well, school is great but it's not for everyone. If you really want to go, I hope that you will be able to work through your fears and do it. However there are alternatives. If you enjoy the internet, more and more schools are offering courses online ~ maybe that is something that you could look into.

Also keep in mind that a good education goes well beyond anything you can learn in school. Knowledge is important, but there are all kinds of ways of gaining knowledge and school is only one option out of many. You can get info from so many sources ~ the internet, libraries, private tutors, internships, museum visits, ETC. In my opinion, the most important thing you would get from school really is the "social" aspect ~ the contacts you would make, the people you would meet. You would learn a lot, but you forget most of what you learn unless you really make an effort to apply what you've learned.

One more thing. I know quite a few teachers and instructors. I can honestly say that the majority that I know, are always willing to work with a student who makes the effort to learn. I think it is motivation and dedication ~ doing the homework, showing up at class, asking questions, participating in class, more than "smarts" or anything else, that will keep you from being labeled a "bad student". In my classes, just showing up to class counted for a percentage of the final grade.

Anyway thanks a lot for the comment, and for taking a look at the article.
