Aurora Borealis [17 Sep 2005|12:47pm]
Here's a painting I just finished a few days ago. It is being auctioned on ebay, with a percentage of the final sale price being donated to the Red Cross through missionfish.org.

Danish Modern Furniture + My Art = !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [31 Aug 2005|08:43pm]

So this room view is actually perfectly to scale!!!
If you click the picture it will take you to Melody's auction for the credenza. Photo by Melody, who's ebay ID is haida22 if you want to check out her auctions. Some things I love about Melody: she has the guts to start auctions low- this one starts at $4.99 and NO RESERVE! And, she has amazing taste in furniture and art...:D Gotta love her photography too.

Saturn + Room Views with Danish Modern Furniture [29 Aug 2005|03:32pm]

I've been working on adding some room views to my ebay listings. I found a fellow ebayer who sells really cool Danish Modern Furniture and she agreed to let me use her room view pictures to digitally display my artwork. I am so excited about it! I think her furniture and my art look amazing together. (Her ebay ID is haida22, if you want to take a peek at her stuff.) I'll show you an example, but it's going to go behind the cut.

Yippeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! [22 Aug 2005|12:42pm]
My painting, "Salsa", just sold out of my ebay store. I will miss it terribly as it is a painting I LOVE!! But, I'll get over it. ;) Maybe I'll just go paint a few more to make up for it. :)

As an aside to the ebay artists who read my livejournal: I am starting to wonder about all those sellers who claim that it is absolutely necessary to feature plus everything in order to make sales. I don't have any FP's running right now and the only auctions I even have running are ACEOs at the moment...people are finding my store somehow, but it isn't through FP!!

[28 Jul 2005|02:27pm]
Yesterday I taught surface design. Afterwards I spent 2 hours at the library looking at the interior design forecasts. I looked at the "Interior Antenna" Spring/Summer 2006 from Kjaer Global and Nelly Rodi and Andrea Dall-Olio. I always love looking at the predictives- it's one of the best perks of teaching at the school I teach. They spend many thousands of dollars subscribing to the trend forecasting services. I always feel energized and inspired after looking through them. This time was no exception! It gave me soooooo many great ideas for new art and new projects! I'm totally excited!

This morning I went thrift store shopping with my husband. Note to self: leave husband home when thrift store shopping. He did behave himself, but still. :)

I am going to go paint! Be back later to see what's new with my LJ friends.

The Most Startling Cream of Wheat Ad I have seen yet! [01 Jul 2005|12:25pm]

I am busy writing auction descriptions for some old magazines I am listing on ebay. I normally love the old ads in these magazines! They are soooooo entertaining. I am especially intrigued by the "quack medicine" ads. However all I have to say to this one is YIKES! I can't say that I've ever seen a dead turkey in an ad before!! Never mind that it is in an ad for cereal!!

Those crazy Edwardians!

Life is good! [28 Jun 2005|11:56am]
I'm just sitting here sipping an iced coffee that my husband made for me...I don't normally drink caffeine in any form and I am catching a fun and energizing caffeine buzz. Woohoo!

Taking a break from building a new ebay store...it still needs a lot of work, but it's starting to come together. I'll post links to it later, when I get to a point that I'm not embarrassed by it. :) If you do venture in, try not to trip on anything or bump your head on anything until I get it better organized. :P

In the meantime, here's a pretty picture for you to enjoy! I painted it last week.

Here's hoping all my LJ friends are having a FAB week so far!
